Over the break I went to a Keene state softball game. It was a beautiful day out. The bleachers were located behind the backstop, and I got to sit in the center, so the umpire, catcher, and pitcher were all in a line. I was sitting up sort of high, so I had a good angle. I didn't have a camera, because I left my phone in the car. In my head all I could think about was when I would take the picture and how awesome it would be. I used my friends iPhone for a couple pictures, and they came out pretty cool. But they got deleted. I would have used shutter priority and used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action of the pitcher finishing her motion, and the batter starting her swing. I think the pictures would have been awesome in film or using a digital SLR camera. I bet I will be able to go to another game sometime, and I will definitely bring my camera next time I go!
I think that would be a pretty cool picture Maddy :) I like how you said exactly what you would do if you had your camera! But now it's hard for me to ask questions :p Would you maybe try a slow shutter speed too? Just to see what it looks like and if it looks like a Pan shot? Either way, great post :)))
